Psalm 18:2 "The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer...in whom I take refuge."

Sometimes, this feels clear, obvious, certain. Days like that, I have confidence to kill giants, or call down fire. But more often, I need to be reminded. I feel alone, helpless, and hopeless. Which isn't true. It's usually a result of things not going my way. Then, I take such comfort knowing that He's gone before me, clearing a path so I can walk freely. And if you need that too, just believe. And He'll give you peace. If you enjoyed that message, please check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

Psalm 23:1 "The Lord is my sheperd, I shall not want."

This doesn't mean you won't desire anything ever again, or that christians shouldn't. I've talked about this elsewhere, but as the Psalms were written 2,000+ years ago, the wording is ancient. But some translations say, "I shall not be in want." Which is an old way of saying, you'll have every need provided for. Jesus, in His time, wanted stuff. On the cross, He said, "I Thirst." but we'll never need for anything that our God won't see to by some means. Just lean on Him. Acts 20:24 "But I do not count my life of any value...only may I finish the course."

If only more of us felt this way today! What marvelous mountains would be moved for the Kingdom. Sadly, too many of us feel that, by fretting and working, we can grow taller, or keep our hair. We really should remember that He cares for us much more than the sparrows of the air. For that reason, He's "Conquered the world." So don't stress. Just obey whatever He says to do. Because, greater is He that is in you. If that blessed you, please chek out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

John 3:17 "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but ...that the world might be saved through him."

But didn't Jesus say that He came to set brother against brother, children against parents? Well, yes. In order to save them! Sometimes tough love has to forcefully pull us away from the bad influences that we cherish so fondly. And hopefully, children or siblings could then guide their loved ones into the light. "That none should perish, but all might have everlasting life." If you enjoyed that message, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

James 1:19 "Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger."

This may be rather rich, coming from a couple of public speakers such as James and myself. But who would know better the problems with talking too much? Instead, the Holy Spirit gives us patience and endurance. And these, when practiced, help us understand all things. Right until that glorius day, when we see as we are seen. If you were blessed by that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

Gal. 5:13 "For you were called to freedom, brothers.

Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." This is actualy a very hard thing. You my already know this about yourself. But either way, it's human nature to take hold of freedom, and take advantage of it, for ourselves. Yet we're called to true love, which is a gift of self. And that sounds painful. However, Christ tells us that where our treasure is, there our hearts will be. So, invest where you're promised to recieve. 1 Cor. 1:10 " I appeal to you, brothers... that all of you agree."

John 17 has Jesus prayer for unity in the garden. But that prayer ended with, "Not as I will, but as thou wilt. I'm combining different gospels, but it's the same prayer. And while I'm all about pure doctrine and unity, it appears God's will is not division, but variety, so as to "Teach all nations." Not only so that each different church has enough chicken for potluck. But to be all things to all mankind, that we might win a few. Because the Father doesn't pick and choose, He lets us all through. If you enjoyed that, please check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

Romans 15:5 " May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another."

This is what He wanted, the whole time! It's so easy to sit in judgement, like Job's friends. Saying how all his problems would be solved if he would just repent. But we don't actully know that. Only God does. It's just easier to correct others than ourselves. Jesus said "Love one another." And if we could do that by encouraging, just think what a wonderful world it would be. James 3:17a "But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason."

James didn't say "perfect." So I'll include that one. But still, we humans find it really hard to have all these qualities. We struggle, on good days, to keep the peace with people we like, let alone with just any reasonable opinion. That said, wouldn't the world be great if we could do these things? Fortunately, and while it's still hard, we can as long as we put our pride on the shelf and depend entirely on Jesus. It's not easy, but it gets easier. And it's totally worth it. Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints

We forget this sometimes, though. After doing good work for the Kingdom, the Devil sees you as a threat. So all kinds of things will come against you, and your own heart may be sad. But greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. And right here, we are promised not to be overlooked. So keep on serving your Heavenly Father. And take heart, for in Christ, He's overcome the world. If you liked that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

Ecc. 11:5 "As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child,

S o you do not know the work of God who makes everything." For all of our study, and all of our understanding, the most we can hope for is but a glimpse of the sheer awesomeness of God. So why try? Well, firstly, because even glimpsing His splendor is much better than focusing on corrupt carnal things. Second, because it's what we're created to observe, admiring His glory. And finally, best of all, He's shown us that we can be like Him, because He redeemed us, and given us everything. With joy and rest, life and peace. For eternity. Psalm 139:14 "I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."

The church hears this a lot. But for the last 200 years or so, we've egun to lose sight of the meaning. So, briefly, let's press into that. Fearfully- Just looking in the mirror should give us a little fear. Seeing the complexity of all that is me, and realisig I talk to the one who knit together all those things is a bit awe inspiring. And  wonderfully-it makes sense, but the fearfull bit wasn't quite enough. Because God is really more than mere words could ever mean. And yet, He loves you and me. Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; fools despise knowledge and instruction."

So gather for yourself learning, and increase in the fear of the Lord. I can't really say that my teachings are perfect by any means. But, for my part, I strive every day to bless my readers with my learning as well as knowlefge from scrioture. Hopefully, this helps  you to be godly. But don't just take it from me. I encourae you to surround yourself with wonderful, holy things. That way, you can press in to all that our Father would bring, even joy unending! Romans 3:11 “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God."

At least, not on our own. Humanity was so broken by the fall from grace. And sure, it was one time, a long time ago, but we've all faced that moment. God says "Don't do this," but we do it anyway. Fortunately, these days, Christ's death and ressurection brings us salvation, and makes us new creations. Which is, frankly, amazing. Eph. 4:32 "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

Remember, first off, that sin is defined as outright rebellion against God. And Romans tells us that "all have sinned." But God, in His never ending mercy, through Christ's death, burial, and ressurection, accepts that as payment to all who accet salvation. So, if the Maker of everything can forgive everything we've ever done wrong, how much more should we forgive the guy who cut us off in traffic, or made our hamburger wrong? We just ought to love our neighbors, regardless. If you likd that message, vheck out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

John 8:36 "So, if the son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

We tend to forget this, though. Not that its your fault. It's just one of Satan's favorite tricks to twist that memory meant to keep us from future mistakes, and make it as though we can't escape the past. But Jesus said, it's as far from His mind as the East is from West. And before He died and rose, He also said that if we believe on Him, He'll raise us too. So, personally, I'd rather listen to Jesus. After all, He's overcome the world! If you liked that message, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

James 5:15 "And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."

We talk a lot about a few promises. Abundant joy, all things working for good. But healing seems to be a place where we falter. And sure, there are "Thorns in the flesh," and all things are as He intends. Still, this is an overlooked promise of scripture. And all christians know how the next verse says, "The prayers of a righteous man are effective." (N.I.V.) So, since we claim all His promises, take heart! He has overcome the world. If that blesssed you, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

Phl. 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation..., present your requests to God."

That's the answer! The secret solution to eliminating anxiety! How great would life be, if we didn't worry about anything? Not legitimate concerns, but spilled milk. Well, we have a Father who knows our needs before we ask for anything! And trusting Him, depending on Him, is key. Ask, and you shall recieve. Isaiah 50:10 a"Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the voice of his servant?"

That was rhetorical. Indeed, this passage is aimed at those who struggle with faith. At the time, Isreal was full of pagans and the ungodly. But it continues... "Let those who walkin darkness-trust in the name of the Lord." After all, His word is a lamp unto your feet. So if you're strugging, if you can't find your way, seek first the kiingdom of God, and all you need, He'll be. Heb. 11:6 a "And without faith it is impossible to please Him."

As I said last time, we beieve in Christ based on what we know of Him. Blind faith is little more than assumption. What I'll cover today is the way that our faith has us behave. Because we know and believe things, we do things. Things that please our God. And the wonder of the covenant means He does things for us. Most importantly, He conquered sin and death. Which is just the best. If you enjoyed that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!
