1 john 3:18 "Little children, let us not love in word or speech but in deed and in truth."

Once again, pleasent as it is, this is harder to do than it sounds. We might not even realize it! Anybody can say, 'I love you." But in this world, so many wonder what love even is, let alone how to do it. But if nobody has greater love tha to die for someone else, we can guess that love means sacrifice. And how glorious, that we not only know this, but that God's love for us means we can love others. Hallelujah, amen. Romans 12:21 "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

This sounds so easy at first, but as we try to apply the sentiment, it becomes harder, even overwhelming. As Satan has been given such dominion over thie carnal world, the powers of darkness continully try to defeat any time we attempt a little good. Let alone accomplishing big things for the Kingdom. But God, in truth, has crushed the head of the serpent. And He has said, "Take heart, beloved. For I have overcome the world. Isaiah 40:28-31 ''Do you not know? Have you not heard? The everlasting God... never faints nor is weary."

Take a moment, and consider. This is amazing! As I get older, I find myself tired before the day's half over. Not God, though. He is, frankly, beyond aged. And He oversees everything ever, making sure a leaf doesn't fall that shouldn't. Yet still, it never phases Him From eternity to eternity, He doesn't change, doesn't tire. And what's more, He promises to be there for you, in anything you go through. Woah. If you liked that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

Jeremiah 20:13 " Praise the Lord! For he has delivered the life of the needy from the hand of evildoers."

If yesterday's verse was the answer to everything, I think this verse is the appropriate reaction. Especially when we realize, we all need something. He made us that way. And yes, our God is the champion of the oppressed. But more than that, He gave His life as a free gift for the entire world! And whoever we are, whatever we need, if we simply believe, we can be redeemed. Indeed, praise the Lord! If you enjoyed that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

Ecc. 12:13 b. "Fear God, and keep His commands, for this is the whole duty of man."

It really is that simple! Of course, "simple" is a relative term. In this world, with it's forces and it's voices, the actual doing of that thing can become fairly complicated. Fortunately, Christ gave us what He called a helper, the Holy Spirit. Our very present aide in time of need. And by His grace, we can do all the things! Which makes this verse the ultimate answer to life, the universe, and everything.  If you enjoyed that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

Poverbs 17:9 "He who forgives an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter alienates friends."

We all sruggle with mistakes, often over and over. It's how humans learn anything, really. We crawl, and then stand up. Then we fall, but stand up again. Life is a series of falls, both litteral and figurative, as we deal with repetitive failures. But God, through Jesus, blots out every stain and cancels every debt, forever. How amazing His grace!  If you enjoyed that, check out my main sitewww.voiceintha.com  And then, tel your friends!

Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and couragous."

This was first directed at Joshua, as is on record. But the reason it's on record, and has survived the ages, is because it's something God wants to inspire all the faithful. He has made us more than conquerors. So whatever situation you find yourself in, be strong and corageous. As long as you walk with God, He'll work with you.  If you enjoyed that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com And then, tell your friends!

Jeremiah 15:"But they shall not prevail over you, for I am with you."

As I write this, I'm going through some personal stuff. But the word must be preached, no matter what. Still, in every trial, I find comfort in this promise. And that's enough about me. In this glorious covenant, if you stay faithful to obey the Father, come what may, He'll stay faithful to you. Putting oil in your lamp and liftng up your head, even when things get bad. Romans 8:35 "Who shall seperate us from the love of Christ?"

Paul goes on to list various things, that cleary can't answer that question. Because the point is, there's nothing that will. Think back over your life, and I'm sure you recall at least one person you loved who let you down. But God, through Christ, isn't just any person. And so, not only do the rules not apply, but He invents and appoints those rules. So no matter what happens, whatever you might be going through, He's got you. Praise the Lord.  If you enjoyed that, check out my main sitewww.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

John 3:11 "For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that you should love one aother."

That really is the whole meaning of the universe, isn't it? Once upon a time, God, who is perfect love, made everything. In an act of love. It got broken, but He loved us so much, He died to set things right. And now, if we believe and appreciate all that, we should love each other, as Christ loved us. John 13:15 "Greater love hath no man than this,

That He should lay his life down for his friends." As I write this, the next day is Valentine's Day. What better time, then, to reflect on the greatest love of all?  True love, as I've said before, is sacrifice. We show that we care by actually giving or doing something useful. And Christ, in giving Himself, did something useful. He now allows anyone who believes to enter into perfect life, eternally. And that extends to you and me. Now that's love.  If you liked that, check out my main site-www.voiceinthacom  And then, tell your friends!

Jeremiah 10:12 "It is He who made the earth by His power...and by his understanding stretched out the heavens."

Take a moment, and consider. Most of us have a time of just making our beds, let alone anything complex. Yet God, in His infinite wisdom and glory, said stuff, and stuff appeared. It feels like stuff is still appearing, still happenning. And He's still in control, still making things just right, every time. And as an essential part of that design, you and me were meant to be wherever we find ourselves. Even if we feel a little off, we're right on time. 1 Cor. 13:4 "love is patient, love is kind.''

This is commonly known as The Love chapter. The next few verses give several more qualifiers of true love, but I believe these came first since they're most important. Whatever other things that love may do or be, they all take  bit of putting up with people, and being nice to them. These take shape with humility, honesty, and such like. But though we struggle at these, God loved us enough to not only send His son to die for us, but also, left us a handy how-to guide spelling this stuff out. 1 Cor. 13:1 "If I speak in the tounges of men and angels...

But have not love, I am only a banging gong or loud cymbal." Love really ought to be the main force behind everything we do. I mentioned recently how Christ said it was the greatest commandment. Just caring about what we do makes the doing that much more impactful. Of course, we should care about the God we obey, and  the people we help. But also, about the quality of help we give. It's the way God wants things to be, and if we all did that, the world would be awesome. If you enjoyed that check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

1 Thess. 1:3 "We are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing abundantly."

Paul talked about this, because he'd heard good things. He heard those things because fruitfullness is the evidence of faith. In other words, if we truly believe, that will show up in the way that we live. So many today are "Christmas and Easter" Christians, showing up twice a year if that. But since you're here, you're clearly  more involved, ore invested. So I'd like to encourage you. Keep on keeping the faith, and loving your neighbor. For the prize set before us, run that race! Deuteronomy 6:4 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your mind, and with all your strength."

Jesus later said that this is the most important commandment. Also, something about loving your neighbor. Which is, of course, pretty important. But the thing is, He knows our first thought is us. So, making it simple, He said to start by putting God first. And then, it becomes easier to care about that person over there as much as you. And while all the stained glass and baptisms are lovely, that's all we really gotta do. If you ask me, that's pretty cool. Genesis 1:31 "And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good."

This was in response to His fullness of creation, and the goodness of it all. But there's a significance to the fact that it wasn't finished until there were humans, and only then was it very  good. That's like saying we're the special sauce of His divine recipe. Which is rather encouraging. So, the next time anxiety sers in, or you've just had a bad day, remember. You were made for a purpose, and just your being here is very good. John 8:58 "Truly, I tell you, before Abraham was, I am."

Out of the burning bush, the first thing God told the jews through Moses was, "I am that I am." Which means these pharisees knew exactly what Jesus meant when He said this. That this Christ, the God-Man eisted before all ages. But when was the last time you really thought about that? The Alpha and Omega, Author of all things, wants to just spend time with you. Sure, He has ideas about how you should do stuff, but that's tiny compared to just knowing Him. And the invitation for that is yours for the taking.  If you enjoyed that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

Psalm 27:13 "I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."

I sometimes wish I had this kind of confidence. David had prophetic visions of Christ, and was sure he'd see Jesus, in the flesh, before he died. Looking back, that didn't happen, but David had faith. We, on the other hand, have such great promises, yet often, so little faith. We could excuse that away by saying David died long before Christ, but the thing is, God is faithful even when we're not. So next time you're struggling with anything, just remember. Jesus loves you. And that's huge. If you enjoyed that message, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  and then, tell your friends!

Jeremiah 10:13 "Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you."

At first, this was said to the Israelites to get there attention with a specific proclomation. It's been a long time, and you're (probably) not Israel. But neither of those mean that God isn't talking to you right now. He obviously brought you to read this now, for some reason. Just be still and know the Lord, He is God.
