Eph 4:14 "So that we may no longer be...carried about by every wind of doctrine."

Oviously, I'm not the final authority on Christianity. But that said, I hope to give you peace about some things. In a perfect world, that would be things you've heard elsewhere, or are struggling with. Drawing you closer to the fullness of understanding, and helping you live more righteously. Let me ease your load a little as we both press on to glory. If you liked that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

Job 19:25 "For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth."

What a powerful statement! Still, for just a moment, I'd like to talk about the difference between believing and knowing. Through the years, other religions have believed in talking frogs, or genies that turn into cats. But knowing a thing is more than accepting. Job conversed, tangibly, with God. Jesus was a real guy, who really died (briefly) on a real cross. And the list of how we know goes on. But from that, we believe all He said, including every promise and blesing. Because we know He's good for it. I you enjoyed that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

John 13:14 "If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet,

Y ou also ought to  wash  one another's  feet ." These days, it's not about a matter of actual foot washing. Not that there's anything wrong with that, if it has some use. But back then, all anybody had was some sandals. It still gets gross when you walk everywhere, all day, through the desert. And it was gross enough, people would have the help attend to guests, as a courtesy. But Jesus wanted to show them, I care this much, and you should to. So conider with prayer how yo can help your church and others, as He would do. If you enjoyed that, check out www.voiceintha.com And then, tell your friends!

Luke 19:10 "For the son of man came to seek and to save the lost."

We tend to forget this. don't we? Getting so caught up, so often, in gourmet coffee, or desgner paint and upholstery swatches. Sure, there's a place for buiding up Christ's body in the church. And it's honorable to want to build Him a nice house. But Jesus came to heal the broken, not to rub elbows with friends. And the term apostle means they were sent to save the sick and the lost. Because, frankly, that was me for a season. But I was saved, through the use of His servants, and for His reason. Thanks be to God. 1 Peter 1:13 "Therfore, preparing your mind for action... set your hope on the grace...of Christ Jesus."

What a powerfu message. I almost don't need to say any more. But as we're both here, I will. Really, though, I'm gonna lean into that first bit. Prepare your mind. See, Jesus loves you. And especially through the Spirit, God helps us a lot. But the thing is, it can't just be one way. Yes, He'll help us. But it won't do much if we just ignore Him. So we have to work to fix our minds constantly on everything He's done, and live the way He asks of us. But still, it's something we can totally do. Because He's overcome the world. Romans 14:11b "Every knee shall bow...and every tongue confess to God."

How can anyone resist? I talked yesterday about the ways creation itself proclaims the glory of God. On top of that, we know He's he ultimate sovereign. Sure, humans get prideful, and try to do things as if we're all we need. But that's kind of the point of the great commission. So that, as His foot soldiers, we get set to work making everything into the way it should be. Until the whole world hears and exalts the only true Lord and King. Which is pretty sweet. Romans 1:20 For His...power and divine nature...have been clearly percieved...in the things which have been made."

Basically, if you just look around, you can't hlep but notice the fingerprints of God. Sure, you can try. But if you actually focus on imperical, repeatabe truth, even the situational, the sheer ordered complexity of everything, and how it's connected, allows for no denying of divinity. Paul even went on to say, "So they have no excuse." Because He's working everything for our good. If you enjoyed that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

2 Samuel 24:6 "The Lord forbid that I should...put out my hand against-The Lord's annointed."

Saul felt strongly about this. He had been, until recently, The Lord's annoined, raised from ordainary. But thats why, when he knew kingshi had passed to David, with time, he accepted it. But we're the same way. In America, we say, "He's not my President. I didn't vote for him." But we need to remember that God makes kings, and presidents. Working all thngs together for our good. 1 Cor. 1:55 "Death is swallowed up in victory... O death, where is thy sting?"

How cool is that? I mean, avoiding the bit about how, heaven or Hell, life is eternal, this makes that fact a bit less heavy.Without the cross of Christ, anyone who died just had to try really hard and hope. The O.T. book of Ecclesiastes talks about it. But thanks to saving grace, the way has been made clear! All we have to do is stay on it. And we'll arrive at the glorious promise. 1 Cor. 1:18 "For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing,

B ut to us who are being saved it is the power of God." This is worth talking about n a couple of levels. First, it explans why we shouldn't cast our pearls before swine, to borrow a phrase. Not unlike the sheep-goats thing in the book of Luke. But it also makes sense as to why we want to, because we're still being saved. Were not home yet, though thats sometimes easy to forget. We need to lean on Him for hep in all things, especially ministry. But in that way, He'll set every captive free. Romans 13:8b " for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."

This is why we sould care, about anyone, really. Paul started by saying how we shouldn't owe people anything. Sure, mortgages and car paymets slow down our ability for ministry, hindeing our faith. But even doing favors or cutting deals can make us serve people more than God. The trick is to remember how love means giving, without wanting anything back. And if we manage to do that, and give God the glory, you'll be amazed what you recieve. If you enjoyed that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

Lamentations 5:20 "Why dost thou forget us for ever, why dost thou so long forsake us?"

Maybe today feels a bit different. In what I'm posting, and maybe in what you're going through. But in the words of Isaiah, His hand is stretched out still. In the garden, Jesus was God, yet He still felt distant from the Father. The Lord moves in seasons, for His reasons. Some say that the times of trial are when He takes off the traning wheels because you're doing better. In any case, it's always for His glory, and in Him we have the victory. 1 Cor 15:1 "Now I would remind you, brethren, in what terms I preached to you the gospel, which you received."

In simple words, this is sort of what I do here every day. Because, its important for all of us to remember the astounding love with which Jesus loved us. That He gave up Heaven (For a while.) to welcome us in. And that by His strength, with His will, we can do anything. This is that gospel we believe. Romans 8:23-24 "Since all have sinned... they are justified by his grace as a gift."

This is the essential truth of our faith. And really, the meaning of life as we know it! Who of you hasn't done stuff you regret. And that may well include breaking at least one of the 10 commandments. Even though Jesus simplified things to "Love God, and love your neighbor." We still miss the mark. But that's why on good friday, thousands of years ago, and while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. So we could be filled with His love.  If you enjoyed that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

Romans 5:8 "But... while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Most of us won't die for somone else. Even if we got the chance, it's an unlikely choice. But just say you had the option. You're probably gonna die for somone you like long before someone who doesn't even like you. But that's the thing! Sin is outright rebellion against God. Saying, I know better. Yet Jesus cares so much, He died the worst death for people who rebelled. Because, Jesus loves you. Psalm 100:1 "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands."

This seems pretty straight-forward.But on reflection, why? Well, that's exactly what's caled for. If we think about our past, we'll find that He has saved us, and not we ourselves. And what's more, we can indeed do all things, through Christ who strengthens us. Which, according to His purpose, results in joy beyond measure. Praise ye the Lord. Gal. 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ; Nevertheless, I Live."

What an amazing feat this is! We have to be crucified to ourselves, daily. Not only does the old self has to be dead. But really, raised up and bled out, with no chance of it left. And then, only then, will we find new life in Christ. Life that flows, exceedingly, abundantly, and perfectly provided for. As long as we submit ourselves, every time. Allowing Him to make all things right. If you enjoyed that message, check out my main sitewww.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!

1 John 3:16 "By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren."

This might not be what you expected. Most of us didn't sign up for sacrifice. Sure, the world is full of trials, but shouldn't salvation free us from these kind of things? Except, it can't be too much for me, if it's a burden borne by my God and King. And just as He took back His life, and rose to glory, He promises to do the same for all who believe. He who the Son sets free is free indeed. If you liked that, check out my main site-www.voiceintha.com  And then, tell your friends!
