Psalm 139:14 "I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."

 The church hears this a lot. But for the last 200 years or so, we've egun to lose sight of the meaning. So, briefly, let's press into that. Fearfully- Just looking in the mirror should give us a little fear. Seeing the complexity of all that is me, and realisig I talk to the one who knit together all those things is a bit awe inspiring. And  wonderfully-it makes sense, but the fearfull bit wasn't quite enough. Because God is really more than mere words could ever mean. And yet, He loves you and me.  Out of the burning bush, the first thing God told the jews through Moses was, "I am that I am." Which means these pharisees knew exactly what Jesus meant when He said this. Ecc. 7:28 "God has made man, but man looks for many devices."

 That could just as well say, "Man looks for anything better." But that's not possible. God is good, in every possible sense. He doesn't just do good things, God  is  goodness itself. That might be confusing, but every good thing comes from God, every good thing happens because of God. Gen. 15:1 "I am thy portion."

               My Bible fell to this verse, wthout my seeking, at a time of uncertainty and anxiety. But God knew, and He led me to that pomise. Because He's that for me.
