Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God."

 For me at least, this tends to occur in reverse. I know that He's God, so I can be still. I struggle with anxiety, over any little thing. I'm gonna be late, or its gonna rain, or we're not getting enough rain. and on and on again. But then, I'll be in an elevator, or somplace else I can't help but be still. And this verse comes to me.  Out of the burning bush, the first thing God told the jews through Moses was, "I am that I am." Which means these pharisees knew exactly what Jesus meant when He said this. Ecc. 7:28 "God has made man, but man looks for many devices."

 That could just as well say, "Man looks for anything better." But that's not possible. God is good, in every possible sense. He doesn't just do good things, God  is  goodness itself. That might be confusing, but every good thing comes from God, every good thing happens because of God. Gen. 15:1 "I am thy portion."

               My Bible fell to this verse, wthout my seeking, at a time of uncertainty and anxiety. But God knew, and He led me to that pomise. Because He's that for me.
