This is one of those things that seems impossible until we try it. Suffering doesn't seem like a privilege, at least not to our flesh. But if we step back, and try to look at things through faith rather than brain power, it's a joy to be even a little like Christ. He was both perfectly God and perfectly man. And as we take on His suffering, we become more perfect, until we rise with Him in glory. Which sounds like a priviledge to me. Out of the burning bush, the first thing God told the jews through Moses was, "I am that I am." Which means these pharisees knew exactly what Jesus meant when He said this. That this Christ, the God-Man eisted before all ages. But when was the last time you really thought about that? The Alpha and Omega, Author of all things, wants to just spend time with you. Sure, He has ideas about how you should do stuff, but that's tiny compared to just knowing Him. And the invitation for that is yours for the taking.
