Luke 1:14 "And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth."

 This passage actually speaks of John the Baptist. But it's included both to confirm the prophecy about Elijah, as well as to show how Christ Jesus' birth was surrounded by miracles and wonders. Which is why I share it now. Take a moment to think about just how awesome the Gospel really is. And then, let it register that the story includes you!  This was the blessing spelled out for Moses, just before the children of Israel entered the promised land. Right after this, God said he'd put His name on them, and bless them. Genisis 1:31 "God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good."

 A Hebew understanding of good is more than just correct, or appropriate. It means synchronized, like clockwork, with every little piece making every other piece work better. And if that's just good (Heb. tov) which is what He said about each part, how perfect His finished creation must be! And you're a part of that. Ecc. 7:28 "God has made man, but man looks for many devices."

 That could just as well say, "Man looks for anything better." But that's not possible. God is good, in every possible sense. He doesn't just do good things, God  is  goodness itself. That might be confusing, but every good thing comes from God, every good thing happens because of God.
