No, I'm not planning on going anywhere. This blog is still fairly young! But then, Jesus also meant something a bit different by that. I mean, 2,000 years later, and there hasn't been "A voice like as a trumpet." just yet. But to that point, it had been at least as long since the Fall in the Garden. He hasn't come back because some of us still on't get it. On the cross, sin and death were finished. And if you believe, you can be done with them too. Out of the burning bush, the first thing God told the jews through Moses was, "I am that I am." Which means these pharisees knew exactly what Jesus meant when He said this. That this Christ, the God-Man eisted before all ages. But when was the last time you really thought about that? The Alpha and Omega, Author of all things, wants to just spend time with you. Sure, He has ideas about how you should do stuff, but that's tiny compared to just knowing Him. And the invitation for that is yours for the taking.
